Commercial and industrial demolition covers the teardown or partial removal of buildings and structures that aren't houses: retail plazas, warehouses, factories, office interiors, parking structures, and industrial plants. - Hazmat handling: a clear plan for asbestos or other designated substances, including certified abatement subcontractors if the contractor doesn't hold that certification itself.
- Equipment fit: excavators, shears, and processors sized for the structure, not a residential-scale fleet stretched onto a commercial job.
- Track record on similar builds: steel-frame warehouses, tilt-up concrete, and multi-storey office interiors each need different methods and experience.
- Written scope and disposal plan: what's included, what recycling or landfill fees are billed separately, and a realistic timeline.
